We Work to be "Green"
1.We serve as the center for battery disposal/recycling for the county
2. We recycle all of our paper, cardboard, aluminum, & metal cans
3.We re-did the Fellowship Hall- adding heavy insulation and replacing all of the old windows with double-paned insulated windows.
4.We installed solar lights outside the church, and illuminating the church's sign
5.Eliminated all use of styrofoam
6.Reducing the use of paper products
7. Keeping the heat down with heat controls in the church and in the manse.
8. Use low-water toilets
9.Installing hot water thermostats for both church and manse.
10. Cut down on any unnecessary mowing of church and manse lawns, letting the grass grow a little taller.

Shoes for Kenya
We collect new and used shoes which are shipped to Kenya to be fixed and sold, giving AIDS widows a livelihood
We collect new, warm winter clothing for Washington, DC homeless families.
