By lending as little as $25 on KIVA, anyone can help a borrower start or grow a business, go to school, access clean energy or realize their potential.
The international charity is rated 4 of 4 stars by Charity Navigator.
McDowell Presbyterian began its support a few years ago, with $2,100. donated by members of the congregation -
HOW IT WORKS:
As the borrowers make their payments on the microloans,
the money is put into our "basket" for us to use -
to make more loans!
Our investment of $2,100. has thus been able to grow, until we have now -so far -been able to invest a total of over $5,400, supporting a total of 93 small loans touching so many lives
in 29 different countries!
(see a few of the faces we have helped )
And it continues to grow and expand what we are thus able to do!
WE CONSIDER OURSELVES VERY BLESSED TO BE ABLE TO TOUCH
AND HELP SO MANY LIVES, IN A WORLD WHERE THERE IS SO MUCH NEED ! ! !
